Why We Built FootEx

Every football fan has been there: a group chat argument about who really knows the most about the game, with no way to actually settle it. That's the gap FootEx was built to fill.

The Problem We Saw

Football conversation is constant - in group chats, at the pub, in the office - but most of it is just opinion. Everyone thinks they know more than their mates, but there was never a simple, daily way to actually prove it.

Our team have always been debating amongst each other as friends, and we decided to bring this concept to life. We wanted a way that people could really put each other to the test.

What We Wanted to Build

We wanted something that:

• Took a few minutes a day, not a huge time commitment
• Works well playing against our friends
• Goes beyond a simple quiz format
• Made football knowledge something you could compete on, the same way you'd compete over a five-a-side game

What Makes FootEx Different

There are other football quiz apps out there, but most are built for solo play against strangers. FootEx is built around your existing group - your league, your five-a-side team, your office - because that's where football arguments actually happen.

You can bring all the competition onto the app and play directly against each other.

On top of our daily trivia tests, we have our draft-and-play simulation games. And lots more coming to the FootEx Arcade.

Where We're Headed

FootEx started as a way to settle an argument. It's grown into a daily habit for thousands of football fans who just want to prove they know their stuff...

And we're only just getting started.
